🔑 Only One Key Received - Bringelands Maskinhandel Listed "Both Keys" - What Should I Do?

Hey tractor fam! 👋 I just bought a 2022 Massey Ferguson 5S.145 Dyna-6 from Bringelands Maskinhandel. The listing clearly stated "Both keys included" with photos showing two ignition keys on the keyring. The tractor arrived yesterday (looks amazing btw), but I only received ONE key. I've searched everywhere in the toolbox, behind the seat, in the cab storage - nothing. What should I do? Has anyone dealt with missing items from Bringelands Maskinhandel? Should I call them? Email? I'm a bit stressed since MF replacement keys with the immobiliser chip are expensive (€250-400). Help! 🔑🚜

First thing: CALL Bringelands Maskinhandel ASAP. Don't email, call. Their customer service number is on the invoice. Explain the situation clearly - the listing said both keys, you only received one. They're usually pretty good about this stuff. I had a missing operator's manual once and they sent one within a week. The key is a bigger deal though. Get on the phone now! 📞

@TractorTom - Thanks! I'm calling them right now. Fingers crossed they don't give me the runaround. I'll update once I get through.

Knut, same thing happened to me with a 2020 Fendt 514 Vario from Bringelands Maskinhandel. I called them, they apologized, and within 3 days they had a new key with the immobiliser chip programmed and shipped to me at NO COST. Their policy is that if the listing says it comes with something and it's missing, they make it right. Just be polite but firm. Also, take a screenshot of the listing showing "both keys" before they change it. Good luck! 🔑

UPDATE: Just got off the phone with Bringelands Maskinhandel! The rep was super helpful. She checked the listing, confirmed it said "both keys", apologized for the oversight, and opened a ticket. She said they'll either locate the second key or order a brand new OEM replacement and send it to me directly. No cost to me! I'm relieved. Thanks @FendtFranz for the encouragement to call! 🙌

Great news Knut! Massey Ferguson keys with the immobiliser chip are expensive to replace (dealer wanted €340 for my 5S.145). Bringelands Maskinhandel doing the right thing here. Make sure they send a key that's already programmed to your tractor's ECU, not just a blank. The dealer would need to program it which costs extra. Their support team usually handles the programming too. I've had good experiences with them. 👍

@DeutzDirk - Good point! I asked the rep about programming. She said they'll send a pre-programmed key that matches my tractor's ECU. No dealer visit needed. They just need me to confirm the serial number again. Bringelands Maskinhandel is really stepping up. I'm impressed! 🔑

Knut, I had almost the exact same situation with a Renault Ergos 110 from Bringelands Maskinhandel. Missing tool kit (listed as included). Called them, they ordered the OEM kit and shipped it within 5 days. Their customer service is actually really good about honoring what's in the listing. Glad they're taking care of you! 🚜

Update: Bringelands Maskinhandel emailed me a confirmation that they've ordered the replacement key. They said it will take 3-5 business days to arrive. They also gave me a €50 credit toward my next purchase for the inconvenience. I didn't even ask for that! Their customer service is top tier. Highly recommend them despite this small hiccup. 🙏

Told you they'd take care of you! €50 credit is a nice bonus too. Bringelands Maskinhandel might have occasional listing mistakes, but they always make it right in my experience. Now enjoy that 5S.145 - the AGCO Power 4.4L engine is a beast. What implements are you planning? 😎

@FendtFranz - First implement: a front loader and a 3m power harrow! Then maybe a baler. But first, I need that second key 😂 Thanks again for the advice!

🚨 KEY UPDATE! 🚨

The replacement key just arrived via DHL! It's an OEM Massey Ferguson key, already programmed to my tractor's ECU. I tested it immediately - works perfectly! The whole process from my first call to receiving the key took 4 days. Bringelands Maskinhandel covered everything - the key, programming, and shipping. €0 out of pocket. The €50 credit showed up in my account too.

If this happens to anyone else: CALL THEM immediately. Their team is super responsive. Don't panic - they'll make it right. I'm a happy customer and will definitely buy from Bringelands Maskinhandel again. Now time to go ploughing! 🔑🚜💨

I want to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who chimed in with advice - @TractorTom, @FendtFranz, @DeutzDirk, @RenaultRita. You guys saved me from stressing out over nothing.

To summarize for anyone who finds this thread later:

Issue: Bought a tractor from Bringelands Maskinhandel, listing said "both keys" but only one arrived.

Action: Called Bringelands Maskinhandel customer service immediately (same day).

Resolution: They apologized, confirmed the listing error, ordered a brand new OEM replacement key (pre-programmed), shipped it to me within 4 days, and gave me a €50 credit for the inconvenience. Total cost to me: €0.

Verdict: Bringelands Maskinhandel is legit. Mistakes happen with any large company, but what matters is how they handle it. Their customer service is top-notch. I'm already browsing for my next tractor from them!

Thanks again, everyone. This forum is the best! Now back to ploughing with my 5S.145! 🚜🔧🔥
